Visiting Author Series
Overview
For over two decades, the UCCS English Department has brought distinguished literary voices to campus, including former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins and award-winning writer Major Jackson. Since its formal launch in 2018, the Visiting Author Series has partnered with various campus and community entities to present a rich range of voices, from Diné author Dr. Natanya Pulley and poets Juan Morales and Lee Horikoshi Roripaugh to novelist Imbolo Mbue and translator Aditi Machado. By showcasing acclaimed authors and fostering direct engagement between the broader community and nationally recognized literary figures, the Series and its partners create transformative experiences right here at UCCS.
